Immortal, Perhaps

I enjoyed the different interpretations of my previous poem, so I felt the urge to write another one in a similar vein, the only difference being that this has been done consciously, and hence rather poorly. So, let me know what you think this poem is trying to convey! :)

First, my Argus-eyed friend,
you must cleanse yourself
of the very earth that
nourished you.

Strip the
shabby brown coat
off your pale body.

Submit to the
purification bath
and emerge
soft and golden.

Lose yourself.
Disguise yourself
in the brilliance of
the red, the yellow, the green.
Dissolve in the
salt of your tears.

And then,
the world will marvel,
and ingest you
into immortality -
only you will know it not.

In Passing

New white walls
built every day
The windows
small and black,
take time.

Chisel and chip
suck in the air
breathe
a freedom
that's all mine.

You look, you watch
A light comes on
A curtain falls
Shut in
Shut out
by a
temporal
understanding.

Just had a passing thought about the way we write and let others peep into our minds...

Loneliness

I breathe
the perfume
of loneliness.

The silent diffusion
of solitude
into a muffled world.

Laughter raining gently
outside closed windows.

Music
seeping thru and
staining
the ceiling.

Flowers on
an evening stroll
with the unseen breeze.

Footsteps
and a key turning -
a fading fragrance.
